Gray Ambition - Project Make McCain Exciting

This is from The Colbert Report's "Make McCain Exciting" green screen challenge. I found it hilarious;
I. just shook his head disgustedly and said "They're mocking that old man." Dr. S., my dentist, enjoyed this immensely.

An Outing to Jon Stewart

My friend L. scored two tickets to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and kindly gave them to me. So, today was the day.

My husband and I went together and, boy, did we have fun. Neither of us had never been to a live taping: Stewart's show runs about 35 minutes including breaks for commercials: just about the exact time the show runs; I had expected it to run longer and then be edited.

L., honey, you rock. Thanks for sending us to this truly delightful show.

Hot, hot tickets!!!

My girlfriend L. scored tickets to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the 23rd!! I'll bet this will be a lot of fun. Check out the ticket I got in an email this evening.
Thank you, L!!!

Darwin — An Amazing Discussion

I had posted this previously, but I am going to give this special program its own place.

The biologists E.O. Wilson and James Watson appeared on the Charlie Rose program in 2005 to discuss Charles Darwin. I remember being in the kitchen half-listening, and then bolting to view the television set, mesmerized, for the entire hour.

Without a doubt, this is the absolute best piece of television I have ever seen. Please enjoy.

If you like this, you might also be fascinated, as I am, by The Charlie Rose Science Series: thirteen episodes featuring the likes of Dr. Aaron Beck, Dr. George Daley, Dr. Peter Kwong, Dr. Leonard Guarente, Dr. Eric Kandel, and numerous other great scientists.

For L. - part 2

My girlfriend L. loves the following clip featuring Jane Fonda from The Colbert Report. She also admires the Charlie Rose interview below. I watched it, L., just as you recommended, and enjoyed it. So, thank you.
Here's to you, L. Things will get better.

For L. — More good TV

My girlfriend L. is having a hard time right now. I am praying for her and, in her honor, am posting part of a hilarious episode of one of L's favorite TV shows: The Colbert Report.

I love Esteban Colberto and the chicas.

My favorite TV shows

Praise the lord, Law & Order Criminal Intent is coming back! Finally, something besides Charlie Rose.

By the way, previous Charlie Rose broadcasts are available on YouTube. One of Rose's best program's ever featured James Watson and Edmund O. Wilson discussing Darwin. Check it out on YouTube or below; it will be one of the best hours you've ever spent.
